3D printing is one of the technology trends in the construction industry, boosting sustainability and shortening construction times.

3D printing has been used in many types of projects, such as:

  • housing - addressing the house shortage risks as they are cheaper to build than traditional houses
  • schools and refugee shelters - the large square designs lend themselves very well to these techniques.

The drawback of this construction methodology is that because it is so new, we have no way of knowing what the long-term issues might be. Hopefully, the enthusiasm for 3D printing offers will carry on for a long time.
