It might seem daunting, time consuming & prohibitive for smaller practices, to implement BIM. Not with Driving Vision!
This Blog discusses a released National BIM survey. One of the findings to a question asked for the first time:
Tell us about your current and expected use of the following technologies. 80% of survey respondents anticipate using cloud computing within five years, and 78% immersive tech.
The survey points out that:
This survey was carried out before the COVID-19-induced lockdown began in the UK. It would be reasonable to think that the use of these technologies increased since then.
This means that businesses in architecture, design, and engineering believe that in the coming years these and other technologies like drones, AI, and 3D printing, were barely on the radar even a couple of years ago.
The survey concludes that the adoption of BIM has only been accelerated by the drive to remote working brought on by Coronavirus.
With at least one of the major consultancies making remote working the norm and shedding office space, collaborative working in digital space is here to stay.
